Survival Kit for a Traveling

Pay attention how much you prepare, is that it may be long or short journey, you can never estimated about outer influences that can provoke problems. Wherever the street takes you, should be the standard to take the survival kit. Even though your survival kit should be adapted to your characteristic environment heading, all the emergency kit should handled the basic needs following.

Water

Water is a vital factor, you should bring enough water supply. one gallon of water may be enough for one person may be spent in a week or less. If a gallon of water was inconvenient for you, another alternative is a water purification tablets, Water purification tablets, commonly chlorine or iodine you can get them at the drugstore or camping store. also Sodium hypochlorite You can find this in household bleach. 2–3 drops per quart (liter) of water.

Food

Emergency food you need to bring is a diversified food mild and can be inserted into a backpack. food you bring should be able to meet the needs for 2 to 3 days. food for the short term that can meet the energy needs are: granola bars, sealed freeze-dried foods and military MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) and if you need a durable food you can carry 1 kilogram of rice and sugar to increase your energy for survival. rice is the food that is easy to cook, stayed put in the can give a little water and heat into the fire and your food is ready. You should know that the rice will taste sweet in the mouth even with no additional seasoning.

Fire and Light

Fire is very important to keep warm, cook meat and even boil water to purify. I suggest to take a lighter and scrap rubber tires. Why rubber tires? this is because the rubber tires can not be influenced by air humidity and can not be wet. So even though the climate is wet, you can still start a fire with the help of this tire rubber.
For light sources that usually comes from a flashlight, I encourage you to buy a diversified LED flashlight. This type of flashlight has a strong light and energy saving can be used for days or even weeks.

First Aid

which must be in the first aid kit box are : alcohol and antibiotic pads, assorted bandages and pain reliever pills such as aspirin . Next I will write a few items you will need: Antiseptic Soap, Painkiller tablets (ibuprofen or acetaminophen), powerful painkillers such as Demerol (meperidine), bandages and antiseptic ointment, butterfly sutures, prescription medicine, surgical blades and triangle bandages. Pack all medicines in waterproof, airtight containers.

Shelter and Storage

A good shelter are resistant to wind, water, either rain or humidity. Do not forget also that soil humidity can make you catch cold. The parachute material is the best material that can withstand wind and water and also good for warmth.

Signaling and Navigation

To give signals there are two ways through visual and aural. The visual way are: a signal mirror that has a hole in the middle to see planes passing, LED Flashlight, Flares, burning wet leaves, causing thick smoke and brought SPOT satellite messenger. while for aural way you can use plastic whistle. but plastic whistle is only useful if the rescue had to be around you and about a distance of about 500 meters.

Navigation is the most complex because it must require training. using a compass is not as easy as you imagine. The north shown on the compass has a magnetic declination. So always take a map and compass, and consider using a GPS as an aid.
